That is how many times I have been made redundant since the pandemic turned the world upside down.
Each time, I did what everyone tells you to do. Updated the CV. Tailored the cover letters. Applied for roles I was genuinely excited about. Sat in front of interview panels and tried to compress more than thirty years of experience, personality, and capability into forty-five minutes.
And each time, I felt the same thing. That the process was designed to filter people out rather than let the right people in.
